Dates: November 29 - December 4, 2024 (arrive Friday, depart Wednesday)

Cost: $1,750 per person (double occupancy) / $2,250 (single occupancy)

Location: Bandon Dunes Golf Resort - 57744 Round Lake Rd, Bandon, OR 97411

Friday, Nov. 29th

Arrival at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, resort check-in begins at 3pm

7:30 pm: Welcome Dinner / Calcutta Auction (with hosted bar) - McKee's Upstairs (Mac Hall)

Saturday, Nov. 30th - Pacific Dunes

7:30am - 10:10am - Round 1 at Pacific Dunes

1:00pm - 2:00pm - New Shorty's (First batch of tee times)

Sunday, Dec. 1st - Bandon Dunes

7:50am - 10:30am -  Round 2 at Bandon Dunes

1:15pm - 2:30pm - New Shorty's (Second batch of tee times)

Monday, Dec. 2nd - Old Macdonald

7:50am - 10:30am -  Round 3 at Old Macdonald

6:30pm - 8:30pm - Happy Hour (hosted bar) and Calcutta Awards Ceremony - St. Andrews Room (next to McKee's Pub) - Awards ceremony will start at 7:30pm

Tuesday, Dec. 3rd - Bandon Trails

7:50am - 10:30am - Round 4 at Bandon Trails

1:15pm - 2:15pm - New Shorty's (Third batch of tee times)

6:30pm - 8:30pm - Suave Cup V Awards Dinner at Bandon Trails

Wednesday, Dec. 4th - Check Out / Sheep Ranch

Checkout of rooms by 10am

9:30am - 10:40am - Optional round at Sheep Ranch (not included in group package)

 

The Suave Cup

Tournament Format: THE RYDER CUP RETURNS, as does our team competition

In our effort to continually evolve, this year's Suave Cup will consist of multiple tournaments. There will be a large Ryder Cup-esque tournament taking place over all four round (Sun-Tues) that'll pit half our players against the other. In addition, we will have a competition consisting of four-person teams that'll take place during the first three days of play.
    Just like last year, the Calcutta auction will be taking place on Friday night, before the tournament kicks off on Saturday. The calcutta will cover the 4-person team tournament taking place over the first three days of the trip.
    If you aren't familiar with a calcutta, here's a link that does a halfway decent job of explaining. In summary, a calcutta is a betting game/format where each team is auctioned off before the tourney starts and whoever "owns" the teams that win their flight will collect part of the pot spent on the auction. An individual may purchase as many teams as they want at the auction and is not obligated to buy their own team. Please bring cash for the calcutta (and based on last year, plenty of it). Venmo will be accepted, cash is strongly preferred. Calcutta will pay out top 3 teams.

    Replays

    All Suave Cup participants are welcome and encouraged to replay one of Bandon Dunes' world-class golf courses each afternoon. Replays are not included in the trip price, but all guests may pay for replay rounds in the golf shop at the time of check-in or may charge replay greens fees to their room.

    To reserve a replay round, Suave recommends checking with the golf shop each morning during your stay to see which course has the most afternoon availability. To book a replay round at a specific course, reservations may be made by contacting Bandon Dunes after Jamboree registration is complete.

    Replay rate is $60 (applicable at all 18-hole courses at Bandon Dunes) 

    Lodging

    Lodging at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is included with this sabbatical. Lodging is provided at the Lily Pond Cottages occupancy rooms.

    There's just two single rooms available for this year, and both are located at Chrome Lake. Contact Kyle if interested.

    Walking Only at Bandon Dunes

    Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is a walking only golf facility. Carts are not available guests unless they have a permanent disability and provide supporting medical documents prior to arrival.

    Caddie Services

    Caddies are recommended, but not required. SC4 participants can select which rounds, if any, they'd like to utilize a caddie for on the registration form that is send out in August.

    Caddie fees are to be paid by guests directly to the caddie at the conclusion of each round. The caddie fee is $100 per bag, per round plus gratuity. 

    Weather

    Like many other times of the year, the weather in Bandon, OR in late November can be unpredictable. It's possible that all Suave Cuppers enjoy 4 straight days of sunshine and mild wind, while equally possible it rains for 96 straight hours with gusts exceeding 20mph.

    We share all this to remind all Suave Cup attendees and hopefuls to prepare for any and all possible weather outcomes, as the Suave Cup will be taking place rain or shine. In addition to whatever you'd normally bring to a 4-day golf trip, Suave encourages everyone visiting with us to strongly consider bringing the following items:

    • Multiple pairs of golf shoes
    • Rain jacket & rain pants
    • Umbrella
    • Rain gloves
    • Comfortable socks (bring 3 more pairs that you think) 

    Cancellation Policy / Refunds

    As is always the case, trip is locked in and non-refundable when the calendar turns to August 2024 (Monday, August 12th to be exact). If you have extenuating circumstances, Suave will present them to Bandon Dunes and do it's best to secure a refund, but we cannot guarantee anything.
